First alpaca hair

I just got my first alpaca hair. I can’t believe how much it feels like real baby hair. It’s sooo soft. It’s a little static-y
and flyaway. Will that diminish once it’s rooted?

It sits quite well once rooted Jean, and looks natural, but keep checking on the inside of the head when rooting, that the hair has gone all the way thru. I did experience some trouble with this on a kit. Of course it may have been that particular vinyl, who can tell.?

I don’t think it would, it’s very very straight.

I’m rooting for the first time with alpaca, and I’m experiencing the issue that @Missly21mentioned of hair not going all the way through. It looks beautiful, but I don’t think I will be able to properly glue it from the inside. Instead I plan to try the “applied hair” method that Melissa George uses. I’ll let you know how it goes!

I ended up doing just that with ‘Tink’.
