I’ve been shopping with Bountiful Baby since I purchased my first kit Honey, and I’ve fallen in love with reborning. I was particularly thrilled when I bought an Esme kit, but I’m really looking forward to these Realborn kits and what an artist will be able to do with these exceptionally lifelike creations. Whether I win or not, I will certainly be adding these amazing reborns to my own personal collection.

I just started rebornining out of necessity and fascination as to what these dolls can do for kids with anxiety issues.I purchased a reborn for my 8 year old daughter as a therapy doll. I think it is such a shame not to see little girls playing with dolls anymore. I rarely see kids out with their dolls. Lets put the electronics away and start some real play. I can think of a few that would benefit from the emotional and physical therapy a reborn would provide to kids with autism and anxiety issues. I realize these dolls are art forms and not intended for child’s play, but if you could see the love and respect these kids have for these dolls you would be pleasantly surprised. Anyway, I would love to be entered for a chance to win a realborn. They are amazing in their detail and truly an amazing art form. I am having a wonderful time learning the craft of reborning. Thank you Bountiful Baby for being a one stop shop. Supplies are next to impossible to find in Canada.

Hopefully I’m posting this in the right place. My intention is to enter the free First RealBorn baby doll kit contest. My hope is to win one of these beautiful kits so I can reborn it, transform it (using my 14 years of doll making experience) into a gift worthy of being loved, cherished and handed down from mother to daughter for many generations to come. Over the years I’ve made many dolls for various customers but never made a reborn for myself (oh many times I thought I might like to keep one, but I needed to pay bills more)…I also never even made one for my own daughter. I used to think she was more into horses and really not interested in dolls. She would sit and sketch horses for hours while I worked on dolls. I have since found out that she always wanted me to make her one but she never felt right asking for one because she always knew how hard it was for me to make ends meet as a single mother and how every sale was so important to help keep our struggling family afloat. I feel bad that I never realized that her pretending to not really want one was actually a brave front that she put on…out of concern for how we’d pay the bills. I’m sad to say she’s not a little girl anymore, and a part of me feels like I really missed the chance to give her one when she was “young enough to enjoy it”…but a part of me also feels that it’s really never too late. So if I won, it would be a first for my daughter as well. If I don’t win one, I will still make her a kit but it will be much harder to choose which one and chances are that it will keep getting postponed because…well, even though many of my kids are older now, I’m still a single and struggling mother of seven getting zero child support, with a maxed out credit card who always runs out of money long before I run out of month and there’s not a lot of practicality in investing over a hundred dollars into a doll that I won’t be able to sell to pay bills. In the emotional sense, I so want to buy up a super nice kit and make it for her…but the practicality of the matter is I’m not even sure how I’m going to cover my vehicle payment this month. Sorry probably should erase this and keep it to myself because it’s a little embarrassing…but I do really want to enter the contest. Tough decision.
I would LOVE to win one of these awesome Realborn babies!! I have been reborning for a while now, and BB has been my #1 spot for everything reborn: from help in the forums, to kits and eyes, and everything in between. I adore these kits and BB has always offered the most affordable high quality kits available. I’m sure I will eventually get my hands on all these kits (since I have a serious BB kit ordering addiction), but it would be fabulous to win one!
I would truly love to win one of these stunning babies to reborn! I am to be an empty nester soon, and these babies help me to still feel as if I am needed, they also help to release a calm in me on such hectic days, they are so very therapeutic!
