No it wasn’t! It really makes a huge difference in wigs ~~~synthetic vs. human hair wigs and , of course, quality always makes a difference too ~~All great tips on how to fit a larger head like Tibby’s…and some of the other toddlers out there! Thanks! and, I really DO love your Tibby!
Thank you Jeanhai. Like this one I found online.
@Miss_Kitty that’s a lovely wig. I want to see if I can make one for a doll by following videos on YouTube.
@jeanhai you did a great job 40 hours later. Maybe that’s how long I would take as well.
@RabbidBunnies, your Tibby looks like one of my friends. Skin tone, red lips and eyebrows,
Wow. Her hair is great! I want to learn how to root, but not a big headed baby! Maybe an Emma or something.
That baby is adorable!!!
I just wigged mine. I find it difficult rooting the softer vinyl heads. They always cave in on top.
Yeah I’d say keep an eye on the hairline or it will be all forehead, bangs are a must in most Tibby cases. But it’s her eyes I have some trouble with, gotta make sure they’re not empty staring fish eyes. That’s a challenge
Oh my, @gail!! I love her!! That is one of the cutest Tibbys I have ever seen!!
oh you’re too kind Dolly…but thank you! So sweet of you to say so. hugs, Gail
I have an Imani baby whose head is really hard and I have put off painting him as a result - rooting that solid noggin feels like a challenge. Do you heat the harder heads? I own a heat lamp but don’t use it because most vinyl is so soft already.
Where did you get that wig, I love it! Beautiful Tibby:)
What an adorable Bo Peep!
hi Sony, I used to put a sock with heated rice inside the heads when I first began to reborn back in 2008 but now I find once I get going with the rooting the needle seems to heat up from the friction. I’m not a ‘one hair at a time rooter’ so I don’t know if the needles heat up with that type of rooting. hugs, Gail
I found it on Ebay. That was many years ago. Can’t remember the seller. Thanks for your kind comment!
Thank you Jean!
I love your Tibby. Can you tell me where you purchased your wig?
Oh may lord she is beautiful!
Oh my dolly… what an adorable Tibby. Little Bo Beep. Beautiful wig as well.
I bought it off a lady from a different forum who had several available. It’s been a couple years now. I advertised that I needed a human hair wig to fit Tibby and she had a couple different ones and I liked that one the best.
This is a beautiful Tibby! I love the way 10 or more people can do the same kit and yet they all look so different!
